The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest environmental supervisor in the Division of Air Pollution Control (DAPC), working at our central office in Columbus.

As Ohio EPA's environmental supervisor, you'll develop, coordinate, and implement environmental programs within the Emissions Reporting and Inventory Section of the DAPC. You'll provide direct guidance to field staff within the unit on emission inventory data development, data storage, coordinate the development of source inventories, prepare emission inventory summaries and trend reports, and coordinate activities related to data fields and data within Ohio EPA's inventory system.
You'll develop and implement environmental programs within the Air Monitoring Network Design Section of DAPC. You'll oversee management of the data acquisition management system, the compilation of ambient monitoring data, and the specification of guidelines to field personnel. You'll help prepare monitoring data reports, including the annual monitoring report and the submission of ambient monitoring data to U. S. EPA. To ensure compliance with federal requirements, you'll also coordinate the review of the monitoring network and prepare the annual network plan.
You'll supervise the personnel of the Emission Inventory, Air Monitoring Network Design, and Data Management Units, including planning and directing daily work activities, conducting performance evaluations, developing employee training programs, and organizing workflow. You'll prepare and make presentations, conduct trainings, and prepare air monitoring data and inventory activity reports.

Qualifications
5 yrs. trg. or 5 yrs. exp. in position involving engineering or chemistry, physics, biology &/or other comparable science field &/or mathematics &/or history &/or archaeology (i.e., latter two subject areas pertain only to Department of Transportation) evaluating & approving complex engineering design plans, conducting most sensitive environmental surveillance activities &/or environmental pollution compliance monitoring inspections, investigating complex public health &/or environmental pollution problems, initiating complex enforcement actions, or assisting in planning, developing & maintaining specific environmental projects & programs; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. as lead worker. Note: Training &/or experience must correspond to environmental area to be assigned. Positions in Environmental Protection Agency's solid waste program, excluding those in solid waste planning unit, also require valid Ohio certificate of registration as sanitarian or valid Ohio certificate as sanitarian-in-training.
