The opportunity
This position is responsible for the execution of warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, material stating, sampling, inventory maintenance and record keeping in compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
Teva's Salt Lake City, Utah production site (s) are two of our complex manufacturing and supply chain operations. Our East site is located at our facility in Research Park, near the University of Utah (Address: 577 Chipeta Way, Salt Lake City, Utah. 84108) & our West Site is located near Salt Lake City International Airport (Address: 4745 Wiley Post Way, Salt Lake City, Utah. 84116).
How you'll spend your day
All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any incumbents with reasonable accommodation if necessary. Any non-essential functions are assumed to be included in other related duties or assignments. •Responsible for ensuring that materials are staged properly for production areas. •Responsible for loading and unloading trucks and other vehicles delivering or picking up controlled and non-controlled substances from the premises. •Responsible for receipt and sampling of all raw materials, other chemicals and supplies required in Production, QC and R&D, and updates to all manual and automated records as required. •Responsible for granting access of authorized individuals to controlled substance storage areas. •Responsible for assisting in inventory of vaults and other controlled substance storage areas, and may be required to verify inventories and prepare reports required by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and other regulatory agencies. •Responsible for completing all training requirements and maintaining compliance with all assignments. •Responsible for maintaining work areas and performing job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Batch Record instructions. •Responsible for performing additional related duties as assigned. •Responsible for performing shipping and receiving tasks including loading and unloading trucks, verifying incoming shipments, and preparing outgoing shipments. •Responsible for conducting physical inventory as required. •Ensure to collaborate with other team members to meet daily operational goals. •Flexibility to work overtime when necessary. •Responsible for maintaining the tidiness and cleanliness in the warehouse.
Your experience and qualifications
Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Education/Certification/Experience: •Requires High School Diploma or equivalent. •Prefer 2+ years of warehouse related experience in a manufacturing environment within pharmaceutical, nutraceutical or food processing industries. •Prefer forklift experience/certification. •Experience in SAP or similar ERP inventory management tracking system.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: •Basic computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office products (additional experience with systems such as LMS, ERP, etc. preferred). •Ability to receive instruction and follow directions. •Ability to interact positively with co-workers and management. •Ability to communicate effectively with written and oral communication skills. •Ability to follow company policies and procedures. •Ability to follow cGMP and other regulatory requirements. •Ability to read and interpret documents and make basic judgments on the suitability of received goods. •Ability to operate and troubleshoot warehouse equipment. •Detail oriented with ability to identify errors and/or inconsistencies while performing tasks. •Proficiency in using SAP ERP systems in inventory management and tracking. •Ability to drive and operate a 24 - ft. cargo truck. •Ability to drive various types of power equipment such as forklifts and electric pallets jacks. •Assist in training new employees on warehouse procedures and operations. •Ability to follow all safety rules and report safety events. •Ensures that material transfer activities are performed in a timely and efficient manner. •Ability to stack and store materials in designated areas. •Ability to operating a personal computer. •Ability to handling multiple duties and tasks.
Problem Solving: •Works on assignments that are routine to semi-routine in nature where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. •Exercises judgment within specifically defined practices and policies and selects methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. •Normally receives general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new assignments. •May be asked to recommend methods and procedures for problem resolution. •Goal-oriented mindset and willingness to undergo training and the ability to train others. •Proactive and self-sufficient approach to problem-solving including requesting access, seeking IT help, and reaching out to the appropriate personnel to resolve issues independently.
