We are hiring a Sales Business Development - General Industrial and Distribution to expand our client's presence in the general industrial and distribution markets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in distribution sales within the industrial sector and knowledge of markets such as agriculture, energy, consumer goods, construction, and heavy trucks. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and executing strategic initiatives to drive revenue and growth.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement business strategies to penetrate new markets and expand distribution channels within the industrial sector. Manage the sales cycle from lead generation to closing, ensuring a positive customer experience. Maintain and grow relationships with distributors and key accounts. Leverage knowledge of the agricultural, energy, consumer goods, construction, and heavy truck markets to identify opportunities and meet customer needs. Work with internal teams to develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals that align with company objectives. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to assess trends, customer needs, and potential opportunities. Use insights to refine strategies and improve performance. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales metrics in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce). Prepare reports for management and provide insights into sales performance. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to build relationships and generate leads. Experience: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, detailed reports, and business proposals to clients and senior management. Demonstrates in-depth understanding of the medical device and component markets, leveraging expertise to drive sales and achieve business growth. Builds trust with clients and partners while negotiating contracts and closing deals to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Proactively identifies opportunities and develops innovative solutions to address client needs and market demands. Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to develop and execute business strategies to achieve revenue and growth objectives. Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and other business development tools. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of experience in distribution sales within the industrial market. Familiarity with the agricultural, energy, consumer goods, construction, and heavy truck industries. Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and other business tools. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively within a team.
