Responsibilities of the Accounting Supervisor:
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for management
Supervise the Finance Department team
Prepare federal grant reports quarterly and annually
Monitor and update distribution codes for cost allocation
Test and maintain accounting system updates
Complete year-end reconciliations and coordinate audits with external CPA
Provide Form 990 Tax information to auditors
Oversee grant contract reviews and negotiations
Administer payroll, including bi-weekly processing and federal/state returns
Manage outsourced HR vendor and benefits negotiations
Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable processes
Prepare and analyze annual budget, and meet with program managers on grant performance
Ensure internal controls and procedures are followed and improved
Support agency projects and team goals
Lead by example and adhere to organizational policies
Perform additional duties as assigned
What the company needs in a Accounting Supervisor:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
5+ of Accountant experience
Management/Supervisory experience required
CPA Designation preferred
Non-Profit Experience preferred
Budgeting and expense management/control experience
