As an Experience Design Project Manager for Business Operations, this associate will provide project and program leadership for core projects on cross Experience Design (XD) rituals and processes that the organization uses to deliver on its mission including organizational wide strategy ownership, leadership team rituals, organizational design and governance, and horizontal partner relationships. This role will require collaborating across teams to align and deliver programmatic solutions and a well-managed practice. Additionally, this role will be responsible for leading and driving effective, engaging communications strategies to drive faster adoption and greater proficiency of the changes that impact XD associates at large to increase value creation.

As a Project Manager you will:

Work on small to medium-scale department projects that have a direct impact on the company.

Work with partners to assist in project planning and design.

Leverage problem-solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation.

Document progress and report to stakeholders on project status.

Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments.

Identify ways to improve and streamline business processes.

Collaborate with our Corporate Communications partners on executing communications around our events and program strategy.

Demonstrate excellent change management, bringing the ability to quickly put change management structure in place to manage change in a dynamic complex environment.

Gather end-user impacts and create change, communication, and training plans.

Conduct, evaluate and present impact assessments, gap, and people change readiness.

Partner with and provide tactical support to project leads and teams to define, tailor, and implement program strategies, plans, and messaging via the most appropriate channels.

Understand key priorities and complex issues quickly for the larger organization and create clear written presentations/communications.

Create and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.

The person will:

Exhibit a proven track record of project and program management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work.

Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes.

Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands.

Display strong consulting and collaboration skills.

Demonstrate the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.

Basic Qualifications:

At least 2 years of professional experience in project/program management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Project Management or Change Management.

Prior management consulting experience.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed-upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $118,700 - $135,400 for Principal Project Manager.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
