Your tasks Are you ready to shape the future of marketing and communications for two iconic brands? We are looking for a dynamic Senior Manager of Marketing (Head of Marketing Communications) to lead our US PLT Replacement team and drive the marketing communications vision for Continental Tire and General Tire. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead all facets of B2C and B2B marketing communications, digital strategy, creative development, dealer partnerships, and performance partner relationships. As the Senior Manager of Marketing, you will be the architect of our brand narratives, bringing the Continental Tire and General Tire identities to life through innovative and data-driven strategies. Your expertise in digital marketing, automation, and CRM will be crucial as we continue our evolution into a digital-first approach. We are looking for a leader who thrives and will support a collaborative, creative, and positive environment. You should excel at multitasking, prioritizing, and maintaining high standards under pressure. Strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record in people management are essential. This role will lead, coach, mentor a team of 15 with 3 Direct Reports. Core Responsibilities:
Strategic Vision:
Craft and communicate a long-term strategy and vision for the marketing communications team. Go-to-Market Strategies:
Develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies and plans aligned with annual business objectives. Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor the Content & Communications, Partnership Marketing, Creative, and Performance Partner teams. Digital Transformation:
Oversee and optimize our transition to marketing automation and CRM systems. Market Analysis:
Analyze consumer behavior and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies and highlight our value proposition. Agency Collaboration:
Partner closely with our agencies to bring our sponsorship investments and digital activities to life. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Foster collaboration across marketing, sales, product, events, and other departments. Budget Management:
Plan and manage the annual advertising budget, adapting agilely to market dynamics. Sales Collaboration:
Work with Sales on key customer initiatives to maximize ROI for co-op funds. Promotion Oversight:
Oversee the annual consumer promotion schedule and its implementation. Public Relations:
Manage public relations efforts for the Continental and General Tire brands. Additional Responsibilities:
Forge and nurture strong connections with agencies, sponsor partners, and industry professionals. Adapt and innovate our marketing strategies and tactics to stay ahead in the ever-changing marketing landscape. Champion continuous learning and growth for the marketing communications team through individual training and development. Your profile
BASIC:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business 12+ years experience in B2C marketing and communications 5+ years experience in digital marketing with a focus on operating marketing automation and CRM Experience developing and managing significant budgets Experience managing or working in marketing agencies Experience managing media buys International or highly matrixed organizational experience Able to travel up to 15% Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
