Job Title: Metal FinisherJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Metal Finisher for our 2nd shift. The successful candidate will use hand and air tools to polish and regrain post-welding materials to achieve a number 4 finish. Candidates with experience using electric or air tools, such as die grinders, are encouraged to apply.ResponsibilitiesPolish and regrain post-welding materials using hand and air tools.Use angle grinders and sanders to finish rough edges on newly stamped or formed stainless steel or aluminum.Read and interpret blueprints specific to each job for short-run production.Fabricate and assemble parts that have been machined or cut to size.Perform TIG welding in multiple positions, with a focus on horizontal welds.Oversee and support all TIG welding and final assembly processes.Use additional tools such as tube benders, drill presses, and saws as needed.Essential SkillsMinimum of 1 year of metal finishing experience.Minimum of 1 year of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.Minimum of 3 years of TIG welding experience.Strong attention to detail.Ability to work quickly and efficiently.Additional Skills & QualificationsFabrication and assembly experience.Experience with machine shop tools (lathe, Bridgeport, saw, grinders, etc.).Pipefitting skills.MIG welding experience.Current students pursuing an Associate's in Welding Technologies may be considered.Why Work Here?We foster a laid-back, family-oriented culture and offer opportunities for cross-training to keep our employees happy and continually learning. We maintain a very clean work environment with a total of 84 employees, including 10 welders in the welding group. The dress code includes working attire, a welding helmet, welding gloves, and steel toe boots. The facility is organized into multiple areas for work in process, including departments for Engineering, Machining, Welding, Metal Finishing, and Shipping/Receiving.
