Our client, a reputable mid-size, privately-held company in Joppatowne, MD, is seeking a Controller to join their team. This position will start off working onsite in the office 5 days/week and then can become HYBRID! It is a wonderful company to work for, laid back, relaxed, and provides a great work life balance!
As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and leading a dedicated team. The ideal Controller will bring a wealth of knowledge in managing financial statements, budget preparation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Lead the accounting department and supervise staff, providing mentorship and development opportunities.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process in coordination with all departments.
Develop financial models to assist in the forecasting of revenues, costs, and profitability.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
Collaborate with senior management on financial strategies and budgeting.
Maintain strong internal controls and oversee audit processes.
Controller *****
BS in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Proven management and supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP standards, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Proficiency in financial management software and Excel. SAP experience a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
