You can G.R.O.W. with Us by becoming our Operations Supervisor - Materials Recovery Facility/Transfer Station (MRF) | Day Shift M-F ROLE Manages operations department including day-to-day supervision of operations services. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR (MATERIALS RECOVERY FACILITY/TRANSFER STATION) Schedules employees and assigns employees to balance workload. Arranges alternate coverage of service in case of employee absence or equipment failure. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Monitors work to ensure efficient and effective operations. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of operations, department, or work crew. Checks incoming and outgoing material for quality standards. Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments and/or shifts. May investigate and report on workers injuries, accidents, and other incidents. Identifies all potential rule infractions, submitting information to Operations Manager, assisting in the avoidance and correction of existing cases. Administers Collective Bargaining Agreements. May perform data entry for payroll time records. Must be able to work any assigned shift. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS The qualifications listed are typical of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of successful employees within this classification Three years in the waste industry/recycling programs; transportation, production and logistics operations; and one year of supervisory experience. Technical and professional principles, practices, laws, applications and programs in position related area including state and federal safety regulations, general occupational safety and commercial vehicle safety management principles, state and federal workers' compensation laws and administrative procedures. Thorough knowledge of DOT regulations and truck computer systems. Current developments and trends in areas of expertise. Computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite of applications and using data to inform and set priorities and identify challenges/opportunities. Principles of personnel training, supervision and evaluation. Supervisory techniques, resource allocation, planning and budgeting. High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Class "B" Commercial Drivers' License preferred.
