NPD Project Manager

This position reports directly to the Product Manager and New Product Development Engineer.
New Product Development Create Part number and BOM for new products Participate in new product/process reviews including process hazard analysis, operator training, etc. Coordinate activities of Production, Sales, Marketing, Quality and Engineering on New Products and continuous improvement of existing products
Program Management
Stage Gate management Define manufacturing project scope in collaboration with VP of Manufacturing & Engineering Create detailed work plan identifying the sequence of activities needed to successfully complete the assigned project. Determine the resources required to complete assigned projects Oversee assigned manufacturing project progress Achieve project goals and meet project deadlines Respond to current and prospective customer needs Troubleshoot, problem solve and manage multiple projects simultaneously Organize and manage customer file records Work with purchasing, accounting and quality to qualify vendors, track costs and keep projects within budget. Create forms and records to document and manage project activities Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization and customers on the progress of the project. Evaluate project outcomes against project plan
Education and Work Experience Requirements
Project management experience preferred. Must be trained in and follow company policies on sanitation, safety plans and policies. Certified OSHA 501 General Industry Outreach Trainer and/or Certified OSHA 30 Hour in order to provide training to others for attainment of OSHA 10 Hour card. Experience in OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) administration. Must be competent to carry out safety and quality responsibilities. Skilled in providing employee training. Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating. Good Communication, Interpersonal and Organization Skills Ability to Multitask Strong Decision-Making Skills Good Computer skills e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc. Excellent communication skills. Excellent writing skills. Hours of work are as necessary to accomplish the position's responsibilities, which could include evenings and weekends.
3-5 years supervisory / management experience in Safety and/or Environmental, Health, & Safety department within a manufacturing environment preferred. BS in Environmental Health & Safety, or related field is preferred.
