Certification Details BLS - Basic Life Support ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support State License 1 Verification Job Details Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30). Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS. IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour. First Time Travelers Accepted Shift Requirements: 3x12s ONLY. Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract. Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need. Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources. Job Requirements Minimum 2 Year of Med/Surg Experience 2 Years Overall RN experience required Certification Requirements: BCLS Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals. Staffing Ratios: 1:5-6 Schedule Information Shift Requirements: 3x12s ONLY Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Consecutive weekends may be needed based on operational needs. Unit Specific Information Unit Information: Post Operative - Urology, GYN, GI, Ortho etc. & some pre-op patients. Additional Details Valid Driver’s License or Passport accepted. Must be clear copy. AHA ONLY. RQI is acceptable. Require as applicable. Must be ran within 30 days of the start date. Online Verification of License to include expiration date and any disciplinary actions (within 30 days before start date). Must be through primary source. IN.gov.
