Job Summary: Responsible for the organization, scheduling of staff, and directing of the warehouse on a day-to-day work plan. Adjust schedules as necessary in both shipping and receiving areas, responsible for warehouse order accuracy, productivity levels, customer cuts when controllable, and ensuring warehouse facility maintenance. Coordinates warehouse activities under the direction of the Vice President of Yogurt Operations and trains warehouse personnel both exempt and non-exempt, to ensure a well-coordinated shipping, storage, and receiving plan, including training, with validation of the WMS warehouse inventory control system. Responsibilities: Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to select and receive products at the facility in a productive and cost-efficient manner. Directs the day-to-day activities of the warehouse. Such activities include shipping, receiving, sanitation, maintenance, and inventory control. Responsible for the accuracy of inventory control, out-of-stocks, receiving errors, and selection errors. Generates warehouse productivity reports, in regard to selection rates, receiving rates, and accounts for all labor hours, both direct and indirect. Adheres to budget requirements and works toward obtaining objectives and department goals. Responsible for warehouse equipment, including lift trucks, wrappers, and palletizing equipment. Responsible for holding operators accountable for equipment damage. Ensures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform the distribution functions. Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace through supervisory floor activity, following all OSHA, Food Safety, local and company regulations. Responsible for assigning sanitation assignments for all shift over-laps. Recommends equipment requirements and replacements to the Vice President of Yogurt Operations in order to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency. Responsible for the progressive disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; ensures a productive labor climate in the warehouse operation. Ensure compliance with applicable quality system, standards, and the company’s food safety and security programs. Responsible for raw material receiving, storage, and supply to internal customers. Responsible for all Safe Quality Food responsibilities pertaining to the warehouse and its employees. Qualifications: Must have good supervisory and communication skills. Related experience preferred. Must be completely literate with knowledge and understanding in Windows-based applications, Warehouse inventory control system, Excel, and WORD.
