Description
The Lead Superintendent - New Construction Projects - Tysons, VA will be responsible for:
- Leading all on-site construction activities for large-scale projects, ensuring seamless coordination of trades, subcontractors, and resources to meet key project milestones.
- Enforcing safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment for all team members. Conduct routine safety meetings and inspections to ensure compliance.
- Developing, tracking, and updating project schedules to ensure tasks are completed on time and resources are optimally allocated.
- Ensuring all work adheres to the highest quality standards, complies with project specifications, and meets relevant building codes.
- Guiding and mentoring on-site staff, including foremen and laborers, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
- Acting as the primary liaison between clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns.
- Proactively identifying and addressing challenges that arise during construction, implementing effective solutions to minimize project disruptions.
- Overseeing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and managing change orders to ensure financial goals are met.
- Maintaining detailed records of daily activities, progress reports, and any incidents occurring on-site.
Profile
The Lead Superintendent - New Construction Projects - Tysons, VA will have:
- Over 10 years of experience in construction management, specializing in large-scale, new construction projects ($50M+)
- Demonstrated success in managing complex construction projects from start to finish
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry regulations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Relevant certifications are a plus
