Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities to identify strengths, weaknesses, and treatment needs.
Treatment Planning:
Develop individualized treatment plans that address specific patient goals, including speech sound production, language development, fluency, voice disorders, and swallowing difficulties.
Therapeutic Interventions:
Provide direct therapy services, such as articulation therapy, language therapy, fluency therapy, voice therapy, and swallowing therapy, using evidence-based practices.
Patient Education:
Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication skills, swallowing safety, and overall quality of life.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to develop comprehensive care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Compliance:
Adhere to all relevant regulatory standards and guidelines, including HIPAA and Medicare regulations.
Requirements:
Licensure:
Current and valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of Florida.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in hospital, rehab, or skilled nursing facility is required.
Skills:
Strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a patient-centered approach to care.

Transportation:
