POSITION DESCRIPTION
Title: Pool Operations Coordinator (POC)
Reports To: Assistant General Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Direct Reports: Deck Supervisors
Job Summary:
Oversee the quality and success of all pool and swim lesson operations:
Maintain expert-level knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
Manage Deck Supervisors, Swim Instructors and all other on-deck staff
Deliver excellent swim lesson experiences based on the GSS curriculum and strong communications with students and parents/guardians
Facilitate excellent shift flow (huddles, teacher rotation, etc.) and sub when needed
Maintain the pool environment and ensure compliance with our operational standards (roster management, cleaning checklists, etc)
Monitor proper class placements and adjust class capacity to optimize efficiencies
Develop staff through onboarding and ongoing training, holding them to high standards and improving their performance
Act as a GSS “ambassador” to ensure a WOW customer experience and Make People Happy!

Desired Skills & Abilities:
Positive, outgoing personality / a team player in a collaborative environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience with G-Suite preferred (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides, etc)
Able to problem solve in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines and multiple projects
Willingness to take direction and feedback in an effort to grow and improve
Able to open/close facility
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. College degree preferred
POC requires at least 1 year as a Deck Supervisor, or relevant experience
2+ years as a swim instructor preferred
Experience as a youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor and/or teacher preferred
Certificates & Licenses: CPR/AED, First Aid and Ellis Lifeguarding certifications required. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required. Training will be provided.
Work Environment: The employee will be regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate. Minimum required availability: 4 days per week including 2 week nights and 1 weekend day.

Each franchisee can set their own wages, benefit programs and terms and conditions of employment, which may vary at each Goldfish Swim School location.
