Winchester.com Focus: The Manager, Manufacturing Operations is responsible for driving a high-performance operation prioritizing a culture of safety and quality while delivering low-cost manufacturing discipline of ammunition products within the company, customer, and regulatory standards aligned to the corporate strategy and vision. Manager, Manufacturing Operations Essential Job Functions: Develop and execute strategies with a cross-functional team that includes program management, quality, engineering, and maintenance to meet Winchester objectives and operating plans, and continuous improvement goals Develop, prioritize, and execute project work to support plant sustainment and modernization activities Lead and direct lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Team (CIT) cost reduction initiatives to further reduce manufacturing costs and assure their implementation Assure maintenance of plant facilities and equipment is in efficient condition for manufacturing to maintain low cost, high quality manufactured products to meet production schedules Ensure economical, safe, and dependable manufacturing methods and processes are in place Responsible for execution in all aspects of the business including safety, environment, delivery, sales, and EBITDA Lead the "Lifting People" initiative to build a culture of engagement and execution excellence Build operational talent through selection, development, and succession planning
Manager, Manufacturing Operations Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master's Degree* preferred Minimum of five years of recent, related experience in leading a team and delivering results in a high-rate manufacturing environment; demonstrated progression of achieving higher levels of responsibility preferred Recent experience leading hourly and salary workforce Superior analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), presentation, and facilitation skills Ability to manage multiple projects and work well under pressure Ability to build collaborative relationships with employees at all levels of the organization Experience in ammunition manufacturing preferred Ability to travel up to 10%
Location-Specific Requirements: This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
