The Senior Cost Accountant is primarily responsible for standard costing, budgeting, cost variance analysis and business process improvements. Solutions include community collection systems, advanced secondary treatment systems, watertight fiberglass tanks, and in-tank pumping and filtration systems. Orenco also manufacture high-quality standard, custom, and OEM controls, along with state-of-the-art fiberglass buildings, tanks, and enclosures.

Infiltrator Water Technologies is a market leader within the onsite wastewater treatment industry, Infiltrator manufactures a variety of revolutionary products and innovative, environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional stone and pipe leachfield and concrete septic wastewater system components. We sell our products through wholesale distribution across the United States and Canada for use on properties with onsite wastewater treatment systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & KRA (Key Result Areas):

> Safety/Culture

Continuously maintains Orenco Management's safety, cultural, and professional standards.

Promotes, encourages, and reinforces a positive safety culture, safe practices, and a safe work environment to all employees.

Conducts all work in a safe manner and promotes safe work practices to all associates and clients.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop / Enhance standard cost reporting, gross margin and variance analysis by segment

Manage, maintain, and enhance the cost accounting practices related to inventory valuation

Analyze costs structure of business segments around raw materials, labor, overhead and other manufacturing related expenses.

Participate/lead in physical inventories and report on results to the Management group.

Collaborate with operations and engineering to support BOM costing by sku and new product development.

Assist in month-end closing by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations

Various ad hoc reports as requested by local Orenco and Infiltrator management

Becomes familiar with all Orenco-related products and technologies.

> Work to be done during manufacturing business hours, which may include an occasional early and/or later shift as needed. Occasional long hours may be required.

> Regular, consistent, & predictable attendance is required.

> Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION:

A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required. QUALIFICATIONS (must have):

5+ years of manufacturing experience with cost accounting focus

Must demonstrate ability to identify and implement process improvements, be a self-starter, and effectively interact and communicate across multiple functions within the organization.

Must have strong communication (oral and written) and relationship building skills.

Must be proficient in the use of Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products.

QUALIFICATIONS (beneficial):

Experience with JD Edwards ERP and/or Great Plains ERP systems

Vehicle WORKING CONDITIONS:

Office environment with occasional exposure to outside elements when traveling or conducting field work. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Primarily office environment. Regular job duties include seeing, speaking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, prolonged periods of sitting including extended time viewing a computer screen. Intermittent physical activity including standing, walking, climbing stairs and/or ladders, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, squatting, driving, and occasional light lifting of under 20 lbs.

May also include occasional unassisted lifting of up to 50 lbs., occasionally up to 70 lbs. Lifting over 70 lbs. must be assisted.

Travel requirements may include operation of a motor vehicle, airplane travel, and overnight stays in temporary lodging. Requires the ability to visit project sites that are situated on a variety of developed and undeveloped terrain/locations. Includes exposure to outside weather conditions when at customer sites. Conducting field work may include occasional exposure to wastewater, requiring proper use of personal protective equipment including but not limited to gloves.
