JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Project Manager applies project management framework and uses an interdisciplinary process to ensure that customer and stakeholder needs are satisfied. Responsibilities include working with leadership both within and external to the Department in the translation of strategic goals into tactical action plans, identification of key data elements, and ensuring the collection, interpretation and reporting of results in collaboration with key stakeholders. The position will collaborate with leaders, providers and staff to design, implement, and monitor improvement solutions and implement strategic initiatives and goals. The incumbent will become familiar with all potential sources of data inputs. Under the direction of the Department Director of Information Technology and the Department leadership team, this position will interact with leaders, clinicians, educators, researchers, front-line staff and other stakeholders from throughout UW-Madison and UW Health. Responsibilities: Manages multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish or one large project impacting the institution at-large under general supervision. 30% Creates a project plan, monitors progress and performance against the project plan, and identifies, resolves, or escalates risks and issues 10% Manages the activities of outside contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service 10% Facilitates the estimation of project costs, resources, and time required to complete the assigned phase of a project and monitors activities, negotiates for resources, and assigns tasks to ensure these targets are met. Follows established change control processes if targets can no longer be met 20% Prepares regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team 10% Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and collaborates with project staff to meet project targets and milestones 20% Coordinate the strategic initiatives supporting the People and Environment missions as part of the Department\'s Strategic Plan.
