CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS This position is accountable for the daily, weekly, and monthly preparation and analysis of reports for management's use in fiscal decision making. The Financial Analyst is also accountable for processing and reporting financial information in an accurate and timely manner and the implementation of internal controls to safeguard assets. This position will also be expected to perform additional ad-hoc duties relating to P&L reconciliation, budget preparation, expense and capital tracking, and responsibilities as assigned. Major Tasks Performed: Responsible for the monthly close of financial data for manufacturing sites in North America Serve as the Plant interface with Division and Regional Accounting Lead in annual financial activities such as budgets, and physical inventory Assist in the development of other team members through training and onboarding Achieve meaningful and easy to understand financial analysis for management to make good business decisions Lead business partner to different sites Review monthly P&L summaries for anomalies, investigate and report findings Provides analytical support for Operational Excellence cost savings projects; including Lean projects, Six Sigma, Capital Projects, Kaizen Events and 5S projects. Assist with Fixed Asset closing, purchasing (PO's, requisitions, etc.), and other miscellaneous tasks as required by manufacturing sites Participation towards completion of other related tasks and duties as directed or needed. Principal Accountabilities: Accurate processing, reporting, and analysis of a large quantity of entries into site information and accounting systems (QAD, AOM, Oracle, General Ledger) At the direction of the GSC Finance Manager, coordinate, monitor, and supervise the work order variance review process. Train and perform as backup to primary analyst responsible for operations finance support and analysis Achieve meaningful and easy to understand financial analysis for management to make good business decisions POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Preferred: Master of Business Administration KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 1+ years of accounting experience Microsoft Excel Preferred: 1+ or more years of Accounting experience P&L and variance review and analysis Accounting experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment Experience preparing an annual budget TRAVEL Required: 20 % Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Inclusion and Diversity Supportive Employer.
