The Amazon Privacy team is on a mission to make it easy for Amazon teams to meet customer expectations and regulatory obligations when it comes to taking care of their personal data.
We obsess about customer trust and ensure that we build products in a manner that maintains our high bar for customer privacy. We seek the world's brightest and best Technical Product Managers to lead next-generation solutions that embed privacy first solutions in Amazon services. In this role, you will own a set of our Advertising privacy products' vision taking a global and holistic approach across market segments and businesses driving a “privacy as a product” model. In this model, we look at privacy at the capability level that can be scaled out and up and configured appropriately to account for market segment nuances.
Working closely with engineering teams, technical program managers, privacy industry specialists, and legal you will coordinate complex product initiatives across internal teams and stakeholders to prioritize roadmap features, and spearhead the definition of new capabilities through product and business requirements documents. You will have a high level of comfort with ambiguity, a deeply analytical mindset with the ability to investigate complex challenges, and can effectively influence across organizations. You will dive deep into customer needs and data to understand issues, drive product development to deliver those needs, and communicate product goals, vision, and roadmaps to deliver products and capabilities that our customers love.
Key job responsibilities
Create product goals, vision, requirements and roadmaps to deliver Ad Privacy products and capabilities
Apply judgement to decisions based on data and knowledge of the advertising, industry trends, privacy, and applicable technologies.
Evangelize product vision through effective written and verbal communications at different levels of management.
Work with senior product, engineering, and user experience leaders to define strategy, milestones, and requirements.
Communicate product strategy, decisions, and roadmap progress to stakeholders and leaders.
About the team
We own software products that teams use to identify their privacy obligations, as well as the products they use to support those obligations in their software.
We partner with core builder framework teams, privacy legal, and privacy specialists across the company. Our teams are in Arlington VA, Austin TX, Seattle WA and Romania.
Privacy knowledge is beneficial but not at essential. Many of us learned on the job, having come from other Amazon teams.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of end to end product delivery experience
5+ years of technical product or program management experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience managing technical products or online services
Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
Experience with privacy frameworks, privacy principles and/or compliance requirements (e.g. privacy by design, user data protection, GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, data inventory, encryption, anonymization, pseudonymization, privacy impact assessments)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
