Description:
As a result of the Department's efforts to re-engineer and modernize core financial systems, there has been over 1,500 computing assets identified as performing some level of financial planning, analysis, and management functionality that are impacted by the State of Florida's accounting system. The Florida Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Management (PALM) project is a multiyear endeavor to replace the State of Florida's accounting and cash management systems with a modern financial management solution. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
6 Experience
A minimum of 4 years of work experience in data modeling, data analysis, relational DBMS design and support and relevant computing environments
. In-depth knowledge of cost accounting, chart of accounts, and financial transactions. 2. Experience with complex queries involving multiple data sources. 3. Experience with reading, creating, and updating data structures. 4. Experience with multiple include statements. 5. Experience with Visio or other process mapping applications. 6. Knowledge of the SCRUM Framework. 7. Knowledge of financial systems such as an ERP. Preferred KSAs: 8. Experience with Entity Relationship Diagrams. 9. Experience with documenting and communicating technical requirements. 10. Experience in coordinating with Business Analysts to capture business requirements. 11. Ability to bridge the gap between technical and business language.
