Position ***** The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with project managers and other departments, providing financial insights that drive the construction projects forward.
Key Responsibilities of the Staff *****
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Collaborate with project managers to track and report on project costs, budgets, and financial performance.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial analysis and insights.
Ensure compliance with all accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Staff Accountant *****
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required.
2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, construction industry experience is a plus!
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
