As an aerospace engineer, you will research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll develop complex aerodynamic components, structures, and systems. Your technical duties involve the design and development, analysis, and test of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Responsibilities: Experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologiesExperience with aircraft performance and flight characteristic testingAbility to prepare complex and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reports in order to demonstrate compliance to system requirementsAbility to obtain FAA 2nd class medicalExperience performing certification testing for various regulatory organizations (i.e. FAA, DoD)Must-haves:Bachelor's of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or other related discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experienceHigher education may substitute for relevant experienceDemonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practicesThorough understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teamsDemonstrated experience planning, conducting and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activitiesThe ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required​Preferred:Flight Analyst DER/UM credentialsExperience testing to 14 CFR part 23 and/or 25 subpart B regulationsExperience with turboprop or turbojet aircraft ground and flight testingGraduate of recognized test pilot or test engineering curriculum (ie, USAF TPS, NTPS, Naval TPS, etc)#Ll-hybridEstimated Starting Salary Range: $165,010.21 - $226,889.04.
