Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,341 per week

Certification Details Required certifications: BLS Job Details Specialty: Medical Surgical Meridian Hospital Flr 6 Contract length: 20 Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:5 occasional 1:6-very rarely happens Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Primarily a Medical floor with a little surgical overflow. Respiratory, GI, anything medical that you wouldn't do surgery on, behavioral health- if pts been in ER for more than 1 day will room up here to work on d/c plan. Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have 2 years of MedSurg experience. Must have EPIC experience. Must be able to read and interpret tele. Job Requirements Must have 2 years of MedSurg experience Must have EPIC experience Must be able to read and interpret tele Must be willing to take students, may be precept new travelers Schedule Information Shifts: 12 hours 7-730 Weekend Requirement: 5 weekend shifts in a 6 week period Holiday Requirement: Yes Floating Requirements: Will float between MedSurg 5, MedSurg 6, and a 9 bed overflow unit Unit Specific Information Department: MedSurg Unit: MedSurg - 6th Floor of Beds: 42 Required certifications: BLS Common titratable &/or set rate drips: heparin, PCAs, morphine drips Charge Nurse on each shift ADT nurse helps with admits, discharges, and tasking Nurse aids/patient care techs ratio: 1:8 RT Equipment: CPAP, BiPAP-RT manages, high flow Tele/monitor techs: Virtual Tele techs Orientation: 3 days of general orientation including EPIC training plus 2 shifts on-unit with a preceptor Dress Code: Any color as long as clean and professional Additional Details RN required certifications: BLS Floating may include to ER for holds or to be a 1:1 Radius rule of 50 miles for facility adherence
