Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $1,984 per week

Certification Details BLS PALS Job Details Department: Med Peds | RN Common diagnoses: COPD, PN, DVT, simple surgeries- appe, chole, bowel surgeries, SBO. DM. Peds, Cysto- CBI. PD on the unit (will train). Peds- respiratory- RSV, bronchiolitis (HFNC) Bili, FTT, Appe, fractures, pain control. Experience: Peds experience preferred. One year okay. First time traveler okay. Job Requirements Required certifications: BLS. Pals preferred. Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes- per protocol. Common titratable: Heparin, octreotide, protonix. Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hours 5-530. Set up scheduled. Try to accommodate block schedule. Weekend Requirement: Every other. Holiday Requirement: Expected to work if the need is there. Rotating. Unit Specific Information Beds: 20 Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 days and nights. Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit: Medical tele. Nurses verify strips. Central monitoring tech monitors and reads. Charge Nurse: Team leader (free of patients) during the week. Charge on nights- takes patients. Charge on weekends also takes patients. Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Yes, 1:10-15. Check blood sugars, ADLS, Vitals. RT Equipment: CPAP/BIPAP/HFNC- kids and adults. Continuous bipap would not be on this unit. Respiratory manages. Unit/Department specific orientation: One 12-hour shift with preceptor.
