Position Summary
Brookfield Properties has an immediate need for a Procurement Coordinator at the corporate office in Chicago, IL.
Within the IT group at Brookfield Properties, our teams stive to inspire our business and help it achieve success through partnership and trust. The Procurement Coordinator aids the daily activities of the technology purchasing function. This position is primarily responsible for coordinating technology purchasing decisions, managing orders, overseeing vendor contracts and assisting in financial analysis. The role ensures that procurement processes are aligned with business goals, focusing on efficiency, cost savings, and compliance. Reporting to the Director of IT Procurement, the Procurement Coordinator ensures that all procurement activities are properly (and continuously) completed, documented, tracked and updated. This includes taking ownership of purchase requests from the IT teams(s), obtaining invoices, submitting payments, and updating spend, budget, and reforecasting worksheets. This role will require continuous coordination/communication with Brookfield Properties’ various Programs, Pillars, and Business Partners.

Responsibilities
Possess a creative and adaptive mindset towards IT procurement processes, including invoice processing, submittal and tracking of capital funding requests/purchase orders, and vendor financial account health.
Obtain, review, and submit invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
Assist with regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data to stakeholders.
Track operating and capital expenditures, ensure they align with the approved IT budget, and provide variance reports to management.
Assist Program Leads in understanding their budgets and financial reports.
Partnering with Program Leads, Pillars, and Accounting Business Partners to reforecast budget as needed.
Assist in tracking and uploading IT contracts and related documents, as well as processing hardware/software maintenance renewals and audits.
Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of IT assets. Ensuring that assets are recorded accurately in Asset Management system.
Performs other department duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, technology or a related field preferred.
2-3 years of prior relevant experience in technology, accounting, and/or vendor management roles.
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills in researching and solving technical problems.
Ability to distill and share complex topics into a language everyone can understand.
Demonstrates a strong desire and ability to work in a team setting and seeks input from mentors.
Knowledgeable in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Excel)
Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, and listening.
Efficiently manage multiple assignments with urgency and attention to detail in a fast environment.
Adept at working independently and as a strong teammate who prioritizes team success.
