Apply for our Director of Quality role today!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Director provides leadership and consultative services to departments and services within the organization in achieving best-in-class performance of Core Measures. The Director will lead the hospital-wide Core Measure process between the physician, clinical staff, leadership, and core measure staff. Responsible for monitoring and improving the overall integrity of the core measure data. The manager is also responsible for planning and overseeing the hospital-wide performance improvement plan and performance measurement functions. The Director prepares for and ensures regulatory/accreditation standards related to The Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies. Plans and prepares for PI reporting at the Patient Care PI Committee and PI/Patient Safety Council and other hospital/medical staff meetings as indicated. Provides leadership for the core measure staff to ensure the appropriateness, timeliness, effectiveness, and integrity of core measure data to meet regulatory requirements. Oversees the NDNQI reports and MIDAS system. Responsible for fiscal and human resource allocation based upon department guidelines. Participation in the recruitment, interviewing, selection, orientation, development and on-going evaluation/retention of staff. Promotes a supportive environment that encourages team work. Represents the Quality Management team at meetings or on committees as requested by the VP. Prepares the annual business plan and longer-term strategic plan for Core Measure management process to meet regulatory compliance and achieve excellent results. Assists in the development of other areas of the business plan for Quality Management. Functions as a resource for hospital and medical staff regarding the specification updates and all core measure related information. Facilitates the improvement of core measure performance. Supervises the preparation and presentation of core measure reporting process. Provides leadership and supervision for the medical staff peer review and PI function. No direct patient care functions are provided by this position. What qualifications you will need:EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: College graduate with a bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field and/or RN. Similar recent experience in acute care required. 2-5 years’ experience in Performance Improvement preferred.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Current licensure/certification commensurate with education requirements.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Requires basic understanding and ability necessary to exercise judgment within the guidelines of medical plan of care, departmentMedical City Dallas is recognized for its advanced medical facilities and commitment to excellence in patient care.
