JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Under the direction of the Director of Business Development & Grants and CEO, the Manager of Fund Development/Grant Writer will identify, define and develop funding sources to support existing and planned agency activities as well as coordinate the development, writing and submission of grant proposals to third party entities. The position is also responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data on the performance of program activities that are funded by third party public and private sources. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Grant Research: Identify grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, corporations, and other sources that align with the community health center's mission. Generates proposals and supporting documents: Write compelling and persuasive grant proposals, working closely with program staff to gather data, develop narratives and prepare budgets. Grant Management: Oversee the full grant lifecycle, including submission of proposals, tracking deadlines and ensuring compliance with all grantor requirements. Budget Preparation: Work with finance staff to prepare detailed project budgets and ensure that all financial components of the grants align with organizational and funding requirements. Reporting and Compliance; Track grant-funded programs to ensure they meet objectives and reporting requirements, preparing and submitting reports to funders in a timely manner. Relationship Building: Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with donors, corporations, foundations, and community members. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Team, Board Of Directors, and other staff to align grant and fundraising efforts with the organization's strategic goals. Oversees the organizations Needs Assessments. Database Management: Maintain accurate donor and funder records in the organization's records system or donor database. Track and analyze donor-giving patterns and campaign performance to guide future efforts. Reporting: Provide regular reports on the progress of grant proposals, fundraising efforts and overall development strategies to leadership and the Board Of Directors. Special projects as needed
Qualifications Education & Experience : A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline, with a minimum of five years of proven success in grant writing. Communication Skills : Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Analytical & Research Skills : Proficiency in conducting research, analyzing diverse data, and interpreting information to craft compelling grant proposals. Technical Skills : Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel. Organizational Skills : Highly organized with the ability to establish and maintain systems, follow through on tasks, and meet tight deadlines under pressure while maintaining high-quality work. Collaboration & Independence : Capable of working collaboratively within a team and independently to achieve objectives. Funding Development : Demonstrated ability to identify and secure new funding opportunities, particularly for special programs. Community Knowledge : Broad understanding of community resources and foundations, with experience in HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) being preferred.
Work Environment:
This full-time, hybrid position requires
two days of remote work
and
three days onsite
in the office each week.
