The CDL Driver is responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role involves operating commercial vehicles in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the vehicle's condition. The CDL Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of the logistics team through safe driving practices and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: - Transportation: Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to various locations according to assigned routes and schedules. - Compliance: Follow all federal, state, and local driving laws, including Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. - Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensure that the vehicle is properly maintained and in good working condition. - Loading/Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading cargo, securing loads, and verifying product counts as needed. - Communication: Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered. Requirements: - Valid Commercial Driver s License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record. - Proven experience as a CDL driver, with knowledge of DOT regulations. - Ability to operate and maintain commercial vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and forklifts if necessary. - Strong time management and organizational skills to meet delivery deadlines. - Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with long-haul or regional driving. - Hazmat or tanker endorsement is a plus. - Strong customer service skills.
