Accountant (Public Accounting) Westlake OH - Hybrid We are looking for a talented Accountant who is looking to join a dynamic public accounting firm committed to delivering expert financial and tax services to our diverse client base. The ideal candidate will excel in managing deadlines, navigating complex tax scenarios, and building trusted relationships with clients. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative environment where professionals grow and succeed together Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns. • Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. • Assist in tax planning and advisory services to optimize clients' financial outcomes. • Conducti research on tax regulations and providing strategic planning advice to clients. • Respond to IRS and state agency inquiries and audits on behalf of clients. • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely filing of tax-related documents. • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and recommend strategies to clients and the firm. • Collaborate with team members on client engagements to provide exceptional service. Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or EA designation preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and public accounting. • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. • Experience with QuickBooks is a plus • Proficient in tax preparation software (e.g., Ultra-Tax, ProSeries, Lacerte, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite. • Exceptional analytical skills with keen attention to detail. • Superb communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
