Summary of the position: The SAP Production Planning (PP) Lead Business Analyst is responsible for leading the SAP PP module to optimize production planning, scheduling, and control processes within the organization. This role involves managing the implementation, configuration, and support of SAP PP functionalities and providing expert guidance on best practices. The SAP PP Lead Business Analyst will work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and IT teams to ensure that production planning aligns with business goals and drives operational efficiency. Duties and responsibilities: SAP PP Management: Lead the implementation, configuration, and support of the SAP Production Planning module. Manage system upgrades, enhancements, and patches within the SAP PP environment. Ensure the SAP PP module system configuration aligns with the organization's production processes and overall business strategy. System Integration and Configuration: Configure key SAP PP components, including demand management, material requirements planning (MRP), production orders, and capacity planning. Integrate SAP PP with other SAP modules such as MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), and QM (Quality Management) to ensure seamless data flow. Configure SAP PP solutions to meet specific business requirements, optimizing production schedules and resource utilization. Business Process Optimization: Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to identify process improvements and automation opportunities within production planning and control. Develop and implement best practices for planning, scheduling, and production execution using SAP PP. Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for system enhancements. Project Leadership: Lead SAP PP-related projects, including planning, resource allocation, and coordination with cross-functional teams. Manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion. Work closely with stakeholders to align SAP PP configurations with overall project goals. Support and Training: Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for SAP PP-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production operations. Develop and deliver training programs for end-users to enhance their proficiency in SAP PP functionalities. Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP PP configurations, business processes, and system changes. Reporting and Compliance: Generate and maintain accurate production planning and scheduling reports using SAP PP tools. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and audit requirements within the SAP PP module. Maintain data integrity and accuracy across production planning processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. SAP PP certification is highly desirable. Minimum of 10 years of experience working with SAP Production Planning, including multiple full life-cycle implementation experience. Proven expertise in SAP PP configuration, customization, and integration with other SAP modules. Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and control processes. Experience leading SAP projects and working with cross-functional teams. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Skills Experience with S/4HANA and Fiori apps related to SAP Production Planning module. Knowledge of SAP integration with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and other production systems. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and production optimization strategies. Strong leadership and project management capabilities. Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and projects.
