We are guided by a philosophy of contributing to the success of achieving Workday's key business objectives while realizing Workday's core values. We assist Workday in accomplishing its objectives by bringing a detailed approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of Workday's operations, governance, risk management, and internal control. About the Role Workday, Inc., a leader in enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources, is building out the Internal Audit team. We are seeking an expert Senior Technology Auditor to contribute by planning and executing technology and security focused audits. This position offers an outstanding opportunity to work with a variety of organizations and learn new technologies. The Senior Technology Auditor will be responsible for providing technical expertise and building positive relationships while providing consultation on risks and controls and establishing Internal Audit’s position as a valuable company resource. Duties and Responsibilities Perform technology and security audits across a diverse set of systems and platforms. Identify and analyze technology risks, plan and prioritize audit work, conduct interviews, observe operations, document and analyze procedures and controls, perform audit tests, prepare appropriate work papers, develop audit recommendations, review identified issues with appropriate management, and prepare audit reports. Ensure overall quality and consistency of audit work, and alignment to department and professional standards for audits. Continuously seek opportunities for audit process improvement. Continue to develop and expand knowledge of the audit profession, our industry, and Workday products through self-study, research, and continuing education efforts. Identify and promote audit processes by using Workday's technology platforms, applications, and capabilities. Advocate and use data analytics and continuous auditing across the function and throughout the audit process. Find opportunities to develop audit techniques associated with the use of the Workday platform. Prioritize multiple projects for timely delivery. Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with teammates and management, learning and understanding the business to better provide valuable services, establishing credibility as a management consultant and internal controls resource, and ensuring audit client satisfaction. About You Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in technology or related field. Minimum of 5 years experience in technology audit, information security, or related field. Minimum of 2 years experience in public and/or private cloud and software defined infrastructure technology environments, or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years experience in diverse technology environments (operating systems, network, third-party cloud-based applications and platforms). Minimum of 2 years experience in technology operational processes (software development process, system integration and monitoring, data protection, identity and access management). Other Qualifications: Experience with all aspects of planning, executing, and reporting an audit, including integrated audits that address a combination of operational, and technology objectives. Ability to navigate through ambiguity, lead and coordinate multiple project assignments simultaneously, accept ownership and accountability for projects, and deliver on commitments. Strong desire and ability to learn and assess emerging technology and security environments and controls. Willingness to contribute to overall success of the department and participate in various projects including technology, integrated, SOX, and ISO audits. Strong written and verbal skills, and experience preparing work papers, audit reports, and partner presentations. Good interpersonal, presentation, communication, and influencing skills with experience dealing with people of various levels of seniority. Solid understanding, experience, and skills related to the IIA Professional Practices and ISACA Technology Audit Standards. Applicable certifications in technology, security, risk management, and/or auditing. Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) preferred. Familiarity with well-known Technology Audit/Information Security Frameworks such as COBIT, ISO and NIST etc. **PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE WILL BE BASED IN OUR PLEASANTON, CA HQ OFFICE Workday Pay Transparency Statement The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
