About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President of Communications and Marketing to lead the development and execution of integrated strategies that support the organization's institutional priorities and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large team and a significant budget, overseeing all aspects of the company's brand, and ensuring the consistency and excellence of its communications. This role requires a seasoned leader with a deep commitment to civil rights and a strong understanding of the diverse stakeholders the company engages with. The VP will be at the forefront of driving the company's presence with the media, the public, and various partners, and will be expected to serve as a spokesperson, particularly in the context of the Hispanic community and market. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's degree is a plus). At least 15 years of relevant experience in nonprofit and government communications. Proven track record in leading successful, multi-platform, issue-based campaigns. Strong background in media relations across various channels. Excellent management skills, capable of leading a large team through transformation and change. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred. Adept at distilling complex policy issues into accessible communications. The VP will also be expected to be a strategic partner in the organization's overall mission, with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
