Center Computer Aided Design (CAD) Operator III Location:
Seattle, WA Job Overview: We are seeking a CAD Operator to join our team at our client site in SEA. This role supports a global organization including mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineers, construction professionals, project managers, and site operations experts. The ideal candidate is skilled in AutoCAD and capable of meeting important deadlines. Role and Responsibilities: Drafting detailed drawings, plans, and blueprints for data center infrastructure using CAD software. Collaborating with clients, engineers, and architects to ensure specifications are met. Managing online and offline records of daily activities, making adjustments to drafts based on feedback. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations in all project designs and plans. Contributing to the design process, including creating and updating standard architectural documents and three-dimensional models using 2D and 3D CAD software. Assisting in the development of new CAD applications and tools, promoting technical advances, and participating in process improvement initiatives. Skills and Experience: Proficient with various CAD software including Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation. Ability to generate 2D and 3D models of buildings, mechanical components, and other structures. Strong knowledge of engineering, construction, and architectural principles. Excellent drafting skills and ability to produce high-quality drawings according to specifications. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in using CAD software. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work well under pressure. Professional certification in drafting or related experience is advantageous. Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel to different locations for site visits and surveys. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach. Ability to manage work pressure and meet strict deadlines.
