Commercial Litigation Paralegal Fort Lauderdale, FL 5 Years of Experience Position Overview Evolve is seeking an experienced commercial litigation paralegal to support a dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in federal and state court matters, including discovery, motions, and trial preparation. This role involves managing a wide range of tasks, from preparing subpoenas to coordinating document production, and maintaining litigation calendars. The commercial litigation paralegal will play a crucial role in assisting attorneys with high-profile commercial litigation cases. Key Responsibilities As a commercial litigation paralegal, you will: Prepare deposition, trial, and record subpoenas according to state and federal regulations, coordinating the production of third-party records and summarizing them. Analyze, review, and organize documents and data from client materials and discovery, as well as prepare and coordinate document production. Prepare trial notebooks, binders, and other necessary materials. Assist with drafting and preparation of pleadings, motions, submissions, and discovery requests and responses in both federal and state court cases, as well as arbitration and mediation proceedings. Conduct legal research and background checks utilizing tools such as Lexis, Pacer, Accurint, Secretary of State databases, and social media. Maintain litigation calendars for assigned attorneys and ensure all deadlines, conferences, and meetings are accounted for. Work additional hours as necessary to support the team and meet deadlines. Qualifications & Experience The ideal commercial litigation paralegal candidate will have: Florida Bar Paralegal Certificate or a Bachelor’s degree. A minimum of five years of experience as a litigation paralegal. Strong knowledge of federal and Florida courts. Experience with document management systems and eDiscovery platforms. Proficiency in Windows environments. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills. A high level of reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
