Job Description
Alabama State University, Academic Affair, Harold Murphy Graduate School invites application for the position of Graduate School Recruiter. This position plays an important role in the identification and recruitment of high-quality graduate applicants across the campus. The successful candidate will work closely with academic department, the Graduate School, and other stakeholders to set enrollment targets, achieve those targets, and enhance the reputation of graduate education at Alabama State University.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to recruit quality graduate candidates Serve as liaison for prospective students, maintaining contact and sharing program-specific information to meet applicants' needs Build relationships with potential students, undergraduate institutions, and industry partners to grow applicant pipelines Communicate with students by pone, text, in person, and virtually Participate inn graduate fairs, host informational sessions, and manage social media Work with the Graduate School and Strategic Communications & Marketing to create recruitment materials, Represent ASU at events Track and assess recruitment effectiveness Collaborate with staff of the graduate school and college on student recruitment through admission and matriculation Work and trave evens, weekends, as needed Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education, marketing, business or related field, 3-5 years of experience in higher education recruitment, admissions, or a closely related area, strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders, demonstrated ability to work independently as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in strategic planning , contemporary marketing strategies, and admissions is essential. Supplemental Information
