Certification Details BLS ACLS AZ license Job Details The right candidates will have 2 years of current MS/Tele experience and MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE DRIPS. This is a COVID unit. Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months. Active BLS, ACLS and an active AZ license (or compact) are required. Schedule Information Shifts: 12 hrs. 7-7. Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat). One major and minor holiday. Unit Specific Information Unit: MedSurg B2D beds: 30 beds Ratios: 1:4 ratio, days and nights Charge Nurse: Yes, does not take patients. Also has Unit Supervisor. Nurse Aides: PCTs on days. 1 PCT or SWAT RN at night to task. Tele: GE Monitors. Central monitoring station tech to read. Vents: CPAP possible. Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Must call Physician. IV Team: No. House SWAT Nurse available for hard IV sticks. RT 24/7: Yes. Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, ICU Pharmacist covers on days. Floating: Float to MedSurg Tele C5 and B2C. Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts on the floor. Common diagnosis / Types of patients: General and Ortho trauma stepdown unit. Chest tubes, drains, wound vacs. Little to no traction patients. Amio, Cardizem to titrate down only. Peritoneal dialysis patients on floor but contract dialysis handles. Additional Notes: 1:1 PCT sitters utilized for confused patients and soft restraints for line pulling. Spectralink phones (call light attached to phone). Additional Details Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (WITH 2 MAX ATTEMPTS), within 48 hours of offer. There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation (study guides will be provided with first day instructions). MUST BE ABLE TO READ STRIPS. COVID vaccine is required, or religious or medical declination form (with appropriate documentation). Travelers could float to sister facility, Mercy Gilbert, if needed.
