As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to join our leadership team. Job Summary: The Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring that production goals are met to achieve revenue objectives while at the same time building high-quality products, in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the company’s monthly profit targets. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and team leadership, with a focus on continuous improvement, lean six sigma methodologies, and operational excellence. This role will report into the President of MCE’s Vehicle Power group. Key Responsibilities: Production Management: • Oversees production processes to ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining quality standards. • Persistent focus on achieving monthly revenue and profit targets through active management of production personnel and assets. • Implement lean six sigma manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency. • Solves problems to resolve issues immediately, then builds new processes so that the probability of the problem resurfacing is reduced. Supply Chain Oversight: • Manages the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics. • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality materials, timely deliveries, and PPV targets. Strategic Planning: • Develops and implements operational strategies aligned with the company's overall strategic direction and goals. • Analyze industry trends and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team. • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration within the workforce. • Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective practices. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and financial impact. Quality Assurance: • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. • Develop and implement quality control processes to maintain product excellence. Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Collaborate with other departments, including sales, customer service, marketing, and engineering, to support company objectives. • Act as a liaison between upper management at parent MCE, as well as operational staff to communicate goals and performance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing Operations or a related field; MBA preferred. Mechanical Engineering is a prerequisite; while a degree in Electrical Engineering is an added benefit. 7+ years of experience in operations management within the manufacturing sector. Proven track record of leading operational improvements and achieving production and revenue targets. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, six sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in manufacturing software and ERP systems. Strong MS-Excel skills for data analysis, with some MS-PowerPoint skills for effective communication.
