HR/Payroll Coordinator

HR/Payroll Coordinator
will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth payroll processes, managing leave administration, and supporting various HR functions.
Job Overview: As the
HR/Payroll Coordinator , you will manage timecard approvals, oversee pre-payroll reports, and handle leave of absence administration. You will be the key point of contact for managers, ensuring smooth payroll operations and supporting HR functions such as onboarding and benefits management. The
HR/Payroll Coordinator
will also assist with event coordination, enhancing employee engagement through various company events and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management & Timecard Approval (30%)
Approve and review timecards with managers to ensure accuracy.
Submit payroll reports to corporate, ensuring timely approval of the payroll register.
Address payroll discrepancies and follow up with department managers as needed.
Leave of Absence (LOA) Management (30%)
Administer leave processes (State, Federal, and CO FAMLI) to ensure compliance with pay periods.
Coordinate with third-party administrators for most leave processes, with direct management of CO FAMLI.
HRIS & General HR Support (30%)
Manage WorkDay system for benefits administration, hourly recruiting, new hire onboarding, and terminations.
Process manager changes, promotions, and ensure access badges and company credit cards are distributed appropriately.
Employee Relations & Event Coordination (10%)
Organize and plan employee engagement events, DEI initiatives, and holiday parties.
Assist with visitor arrangements and coordinate onsite meetings and lunches.
Minimum Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in HR coordination or assistant roles, with exposure to payroll and recruiting.
Experience with an HRIS (WorkDay experience preferred).
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel, for pulling payroll reports (advanced functions not required).
Familiarity with timekeeping systems (e.g., Dimensions or similar).
Prior experience in manufacturing is preferred.
Strong communication skills with the ability to approach managers and employees at all levels.
