Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
Perform detailed reconciliations of multiple bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and discrepancies are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
Prepare and review general ledger account reconciliations, including intercompany accounts, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accruals, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules, financial statements, and supporting documentation required for both internal and external audits. Work closely with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
Collaborate with the finance team to assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all journal entries are posted, and financial data is accurate.
Provide support for additional accounting projects and tasks as requested by management, including financial analysis, budgeting assistance, and process improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:
3+ years of experience in a senior accounting role, with a proven track record of managing complex reconciliations and financial reporting processes.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members across various departments, as well as with external auditors and stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all aspects of financial reporting and reconciliations.
