The Project Manager will oversee and manage the full lifecycle of retail construction projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This individual will work closely with clients, subcontractors, architects, and internal teams to deliver projects that align with client expectations and business objectives.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Project Manager to join our team and lead retail construction projects from initial concept to final handover.
Description
The Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Project Planning & Coordination: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including project scope, timelines, budgets, and milestones. Coordinate with design teams, stakeholders, and subcontractors to align project objectives.
- Budget Oversight: Manage and monitor project budgets, approve expenditures, and assess financial performance. Identify and address any budget discrepancies to keep projects within allocated resources.
- Schedule Management: Develop and manage project schedules, track progress, and proactively adjust timelines as needed to avoid delays. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain schedule adherence.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure construction work meets or exceeds company, industry, and regulatory standards. Perform regular inspections and quality checks to maintain high standards throughout the project.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and maintaining strong relationships. Provide regular updates on project progress, address client concerns, and manage expectations.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Direct and supervise on-site teams, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering a collaborative work environment. Ensure teams are motivated and working effectively to meet project goals.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor potential project challenges and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFI logs, submittals, and daily site reports. Prepare project status reports for senior management and clients.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards. Conduct site safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
Profile
The successful Project Manager will have:
- Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of project management experience in retail or commercial construction, with proven expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strategic thinking with effective problem-solving skills.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus. OSHA 30-Hour Certification and First Aid/CPR certification are preferred.
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of retail construction processes, building codes, safety protocols, and contract management.
