Job Title IT Technical Analyst - LA METRO Location Los Angeles - Los Angeles, CA 90001 US (Primary) Category Information Technology Job Type Full-time Career Level Experienced (Non-Manager) Education Bachelor's Degree Salary Grade $40.38 - $59.00 ( $83,990.40 to $122,720.00 YR ) Travel None Security Clearance Required None Job Description Position Summary: The Information Technology Business Apps Department is seeking firms that can provide resources to perform the following general duties: Job Duties & Responsibilities: Acts as a technical team lead and maintain responsibility for analysis, design, and implementation of projects as assigned, including complex and highly specialized applications. Designs, develops, and enhances applications systems on behalf of business departments. Develop and maintain application systems based on business departments requirements. Implements innovative solutions utilizing emerging technologies. Translates business needs into technical solutions that will improve service quality and efficiency while meeting business objectives. Creates technical designs based on functional specifications. Provides technical assistance and performs end user troubleshooting for bug fixes and technological enhancements. Supports integrations between various IT platforms and enterprise architecture. Is involved in software development and enhancement and provides production support for business application systems on behalf of client departments. Maintains responsibility for analysis, design and implementation of projects as assigned, including complex and highly specialized applications. Recommends approval of system designs and interacts with user managers and department users; diagnoses and resolves system problems involving programming logic, interoperability between several technical components, and client interface. Researches, identifies, and refers complex technical problems related to platform management, database administration, network connectivity and desktop support to the appropriate ITS operating unit for resolution. May be required to perform other related job duties. Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of (defined as a learned body of information that is required for and applied in the performance of job tasks): Extensive knowledge of SDLC, implementing and supporting Oracle ERP modules primarily HR (Human Resources), Advance Benefits, Recruitment & Payroll. Experience designing complex, scalable, and robust custom applications using Oracle tools such as Oracle Forms & Reports, Oracle Apex & JavaScript. High-level Expertise of database programming involving SQL & PL/SQL. Expertise in .NET programming Knowledge of Project management SDLC/PMLC (Software Development/ Project Management Life Cycle) methodologies and best practices supporting all stages of the project management life cycle, including initiation, planning, design, implementation, monitoring, controlling, and closure. Theories, principles, and best practices of information technology ERP systems, business software applications, Oracle applications and databases, and client/server software architectures Middleware development using Boomi or Oracle SOA is preferred. Analyzing situations, identifying problems, recommending solutions, and evaluating outcomes. Communicating effectively orally and in writing. Interacting professionally with various levels of Metro employees. Ability to respond to issues and incidents in a timely manner. Comprehend technical written material. Compile, analyze, and interpret complex data.
