GENERAL DESCRIPTION : This position will focus on deploying and configuring the county's new ERP (Tyler Technologies Munis) system. This system will be implemented across the county, facilitating interconnected data and seamless workflows between departments. Its goal is to boost operational efficiency and support data-driven decision-making. The role is essential for utilizing technology to improve business processes, guide strategic decisions, and manage the implementation of data systems. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other teams are required. This position reports to the IT Manager or designee. Responsibilities may require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice. Essential Job Functions ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Directly support the ERP technology solutions, including system configuration, data validation, workflow and notifications, and ongoing maintenance of the new platform. Learn departmental technology-focused operational and administrative systems and prepare for the upcoming transition to a new ERP platform. Plans, tests, installs, configures, and maintains software applications, including but not limited to enterprise-level software applications, ERP platforms, productivity suites, and custom business applications. Create and manage tailored dashboards and reports for various departments using Munis to support data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency. Provide support in customizing dashboards and reports as requested. Support data migration validation by ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of transferred data through rigorous testing and verification processes. Monitor application performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Assists in analyzing and configuring system and application security, workflow rules, data integrity, and backups. Ensures applications run efficiently and properly. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Create and maintain documentation related to application configurations, processes, and procedures. Perform regular software updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure security and reliability. Provide technical support and training to end-users, troubleshoot application-related issues, and escalate as needed. Learn business processes and business requirements of the area assigned. Serve as the primary point of communication between St. Lucie County and software vendors. Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure the integrity, availability, and security of applications and data. Understand and comply with the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners employee handbook and other established policies and procedures. Perform related work as requested or assigned. Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills: Strong understanding of application installation, configuration, and maintenance processes. Knowledge of enterprise-level software applications (ERP), including Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Financial Information Systems, is preferred. High level of proficiency in configuration management, possessing a deep understanding of system configurations and their impact on application performance and functionality. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Proficiency in crafting, examining, and troubleshooting SQL and PL/SQL code. Proficiency with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) is a plus. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, etc.) for automation tasks is a plus. Experience using report writing tools (e.g. SSRS, Power BI, Crystal Reports, etc.). Capability to assess release notes furnished by application vendors and ascertain their organizational implications. Capability to assess the existing application configuration and identify opportunities for enhancing application usability through modifications. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in comprehensive documentation of procedural guidelines and processes. Leverage project management expertise to strategize and oversee projects until their successful completion. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to work effectively at all organizational levels and be capable of working individually or as part of a team. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS : Good vision and hearing with or without correction. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Education/Experience: Education: Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited college in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience: Three (3) years of experience administering enterprise-level software applications. Local government experience preferred. Responsibilities must have included vendor management, coordination, and installation of upgrades as well as database management. NOTE: An equivalent combination of experience/training and/or experience may be substituted to meet the above noted minimum qualifications. Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations: Valid Florida's Driver's License and must maintain a good driving record.
