This position is based out of WRMA's Arlington, Virginia office but is a remote/virtual position. The candidate must have consistent, daily access to a working environment conducive to professional activities (regular video/audio meetings, tasks requiring quiet focus, etc.). Necessary hardware, software, and IT support are provided. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that is very dedicated, flexible, and energetic with the ability to work well under pressure and prioritize workload. Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain the Fixed Asset and associated depreciation schedules. Record fixed asset entries, calculate and post depreciation entries through Deltek - CostPoint 8.1 Prepare daily, weekly and monthly account schedules and reconciliations, including, but not limited to, prepaid expenses, other assets, accrued liabilities, and other liabilities to ensure that general ledger account information is accurate, consistent, traceable, and auditable. Review balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports including externally required disclosures. Assist in the preparation of the Annual and Quarterly Statements - Specifically the financial statements- balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statements. Compile, review, analyze, and record financial information to the general ledger. Complete monthly closings and effectively explain results to management. Participate in Month-End Closing and the preparation of the Annual and Quarterly Statements - Specifically the financial statements- balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statements. Support interim and year-end audit requirements, which may include research and reconciling. Reconciliation of all cash accounts and performance of daily cash management duties, such as internal cash reporting. Maintenance of chart of accounts through Deltek - CostPoint 8.1 Monthly indirect rates/pools and service center allocation processing. Qualifications EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Masters / Bachelor's degree in accounting /and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) • Ten (10) years of experience working in Accounting / Finance, Knowledge of GAAP; FASB; JTR; FAR • Proficiency with Deltek, Costpoint Accounting Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Cognos Impromptu Reports, Payroll systems (ADP) is mandatory. Knowledge of GAAP principles is mandatory. A solid working knowledge of federal and state accounting laws. SALARY Salary is determined commensurate with experience of the candidate. Benefits include health insurance, holidays, and vacation benefits for all full-time employees of 30 or more hours. The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $135,000 per year . While we provide competitive compensation, it's important to note that for new hires, salaries typically align with the lower end of the range, taking into account factors such as experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
