JOB SUMMARY The Grant Writer will support the Institutional Partnerships team's work to sustain and increase foundation and corporate giving revenue by preparing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, grant reports, and other fundraising materials. Under the direction of the Senior Director of Institutional Partnerships, and in collaboration with the Senior Grants Manager, the Grant Writer will be a strong writer, editor, and researcher who enables submission of high-quality materials and identifies new sources of funding that support the mission of Global Fund for Women. This person must enjoy and be highly skilled in working collaboratively across time zones and geographies, and with people of diverse nationalities, identities, and cultures. Key Responsibilities: Develop high quality written deliverables for fundraising that reflect program priorities and advance revenue goals. Materials include proposals, donor reports, pitch decks, stories, and other necessary materials Prepare and submit all required post-award reporting, compliance, and evaluation materials Support in developing institutional funder communications and stewardship efforts, including letters, emails, and virtual events Research, identify, and qualify private and corporate foundation prospects and review requests for proposals to make recommendations as to appropriate funding leads Assist with funder meeting preparation by compiling research on funder priorities, foundation staff, and board members Attend webinars, workshops, and bidders' conferences for prospective grant projects Assist in the maintenance of the Salesforce database, tracking and updating funding prospects, submission/renewal and reports deadlines, grant documentation, contact changes, and stewardship actions Organize and maintain all electronic grant archives, including applications, supporting materials, budgets, reports, and contracts Assist with maintaining oversight of donor deliverables for grants within the institutional partnerships portfolio, including tracking deliverables and timelines, and coordinating with the Institutional Partnerships Team to ensure that progress is being made KEY TALENTS / WAYS OF BEING: Must have a commitment to and possess knowledge of international gender justice issues. Must have a strong knowledge of grants management, fundraising, and donor engagement and education. Excellent written communication skills. Ability to work well with diverse groups of individuals. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, problem solve and have excellent follow through. Ability to collaboratively engage with relationship managers to further Global Fund for Women's mission, generating ideas, strategies, and fundraising efforts. Committed to upholding feminist values, including open communication and inclusiveness. KEY SKILLS / WAYS OF DOING: 4 years of grants management experience with some combination of experience with private foundations, governments, corporations, individual donors, and multi-lateral funders. Impeccable writing and editing skills; ability to translate complex ideas and strategies into clear, concise and compelling narratives. Experience with government reporting and successful proposal writing preferred. Experience in programmatic areas in the field is essential, ideally in international human rights issues and/or women's rights. Proven experience in prospecting and identification of funding sources. Demonstrated project management experience. Experience with monitoring incoming funds and completing budgets, projections, spend down, and financial reporting. Salary Range of $72,000 - $105,000 This range is reflective of our high-market geo and will vary based on the candidate's city and state of residence.
