Job Title: Senior Tax Manager Summary: We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Senior Tax Manager to lead our tax department. The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and strategy for our clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality tax services. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the tax department, including supervising a team of tax professionals and providing guidance, mentorship, and training as needed. Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax efficiency for clients. Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on tax-related matters, providing strategic tax advice, addressing inquiries, and resolving complex tax issues. Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and rulings to stay updated on changes and developments that may impact clients. Manage and coordinate tax audits and examinations, including preparing responses to tax authorities and representing clients in discussions with tax authorities, as needed. Collaborate with other departments, such as accounting, finance, and legal, to provide integrated tax solutions and support overall business objectives. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, external advisors, and tax authorities to ensure effective communication and compliance. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and risks for clients and provide proactive recommendations. Participate in firm-wide initiatives, such as business development, training programs, and process improvements, to enhance the overall effectiveness of the tax department. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in tax planning, compliance, and consulting, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department. Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, with expertise in corporate, partnership, individual, and international taxation. Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing and developing a team of tax professionals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders. Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, analyze complex issues, and develop innovative tax solutions. Experience with tax software and technology platforms, such as CCH Axcess, Thomson Reuters, or similar tools. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong business acumen and client service orientation, with a commitment to delivering high-quality tax services and exceeding client expectations. LI-CR1
