DevOps Engineer Senior Job ID 2024-5210 Category Information Technology Type Full-Time Workplace policy Hybrid Overview The Senior DevOps Engineer at City National Bank of Florida is responsible for driving the modernization and optimization of our development and operational workflows, ensuring seamless integration across our technology platforms. This role focuses on designing and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and automating key processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and security. As a key contributor to strategic initiatives like cloud migration and legacy system modernization, the Senior DevOps Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed DevOps best practices into our Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery processes. Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Azure, to ensure scalability, performance, and security. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Ansible. Monitor production systems and deployment pipelines, ensuring high availability and rapid issue resolution. Collaborate with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to integrate DevOps best practices across the SDLC. Automate repetitive tasks to enhance team productivity and reduce operational overhead. Develop and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve system issues. Ensure all systems and processes comply with SDLC, regulatory, and security standards. Lead efforts to modernize legacy systems, aligning with the bank's cloud-first strategy and enterprise goals. Act as a technical mentor for junior DevOps engineers, conducting code reviews and sharing best practices. Document technical workflows, standards, and processes to support knowledge sharing and team alignment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives, such as Elevate and nCino platform optimization. Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity. Research and evaluate new DevOps tools and technologies to continuously improve processes and infrastructure. Qualifications 5-7 years of Industry experience with a minimum of 7 years of experience developing on the Java Platform or .NET. 5 years of experience with IaC (Terraform, ARM or equivalent). 2-4 years in using Azure, Azure CLI, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Shell scripting and Azure DevOps. Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms. Cloud Proficiency: Extensive experience managing cloud infrastructure, particularly in Azure; familiarity with AWS or GCP is a plus. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with tools like Terraform, ARM templates, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Containerization and Orchestration: Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment and management. Scripting and Automation: Strong skills in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for process automation. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Expertise in system monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) and log management for performance optimization. Secure Development Practices: In-depth understanding of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., SOC, PCI DSS, ISO). Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex technical issues. Collaboration: Excellent ability to work with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and system administrators. Communication: Clear and concise communication skills, including the ability to document workflows, standards, and technical processes effectively. Leadership: Proven ability to mentor junior team members, lead initiatives, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and quickly learning new technologies or processes. Strategic Thinking: Ability to align DevOps solutions with organizational goals, ensuring scalability, reliability, and innovation. Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with financial industry standards and compliance requirements is highly preferred. Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or in a related field.
