Title: Business Analyst Location: Independence, MO Salary: $96,000 Schedule: 9/80 Website: Winchester.com Focus: The Business Analyst is responsible for assessing business processes, identifying requirements, and delivering data-driven recommendations and reports to stakeholders. They will work closely with both business stakeholders and IT teams to enhance the efficiency of business operations and ensure the successful implementation of new or enhanced solutions. Business Analyst Essential Job Functions: Evaluate current-state business processes, anticipate requirements, and uncover areas for improvement based on industry standards and user needs. Schedule, plan, and lead requirement gathering and review meetings; Convert business requirements to developer-friendly specifications and ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements. Drive identification of detailed requirements analysis across business units; Identify and document systems processes through evaluation of real-time data. Develop forward-thinking systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels; Ensure maximum functionality of systems in production through the development of user requirements. Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every state of systems development, and perform user acceptance testing. Partner with stakeholder teams across business units (i.e., sales, finance, operations, engineering, security, compliance) to collaboratively develop necessary analysis and documentation. Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documents. Business Analyst Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree; Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics and systems development, data visualization, and development of innovated and impactful system solutions Knowledge of user-centered design principles Experience with generating process documents and reports, including the ability to give presentations on generated information Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and how they can be used to benefit current manufacturing processes preferred Advanced technical skills, with highly proficient technical writing capabilities; Ability to translate data into actionable insights Capable in project and user-testing management; Ability to prioritize responsibilities and shift focus as needed Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely to determine acceptable solutions Competency in Microsoft applications including Visio, Teams, PPM360, and PowerBI Exceptional critical thinking skills with the demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred Location-Specific Requirements: This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required. This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies.
