Special Requirements US Citizenship Required to obtain Public Trust DHS CBP Public Trust Preferred Bachelor's degree 7 years of experience; 3-5 years of experience in Agile/ Scrum development At least 10 years of Maximo Developer experience and Maximo for Aviation(MFA) is preferred Involved in at least 2 Maximo 7.X upgrades Experience in customizing Maximo with java, automation scripts Experience in Maximo Integration and data loading using MIF Design, Build & Configure Maximo applications based on the requirements to meet the business process The Gist As our Product Architect supporting our BEAGLE (Border Enforcement Applications for Government Leading-Edge Information Technology) Agile Solution Factory (ASF) Team supporting Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Serve as Product Architect providing high-level architectural and software engineering expertise to managers and technical staff. What Your Day Might Include As a technical lead for an agile team, you are responsible for all aspects of application architecture including user interface, APIs, microservices, databases and infrastructure Scale existing application to support additional DHS components and users Work on the integration of modernized, enterprise-wide authentication and authorization services Maintain sound understanding of enterprise and program level architecture Liaison with business analysts to understand business needs and develop solutions that meet business needs and comply with enterprise and program level architecture and standards Present and evangelize the solution to architecture guilds and management Work with business analysts and scrum master to create implementation/development plan for new features/applications/solutions by developing epics and stories Participate in Agile ceremonies by leading in all technical aspects, including leading the platform demos to the Product Owner and all applicable stakeholders Collaborate with the SecDevOps team to onboarding new applications to the cloud-based infrastructure Evangelize the developed solution to team members and work with team members to breakup stories into tasks and assist in completion of tasks in timely fashion Motivating developers, testers and creating a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns. Keep up to date with industry trends and developments Delegating tasks and ensuring all daily, sprint and release goals are achieved Performs Architecture design and reviews as required, ensuring initiatives are aligned with future state Designing solutions in a Multi-Tenant Cloud Architecture that will support legacy .NET, Java, and COTS client/server applications Identifies risks, opportunities, compliance issues or other architectural concerns Active participation in Agile Scrum sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations and retrospectives and solution releases Develop product teams technical skills through mentoring, coaching, and peer reviews. Review Cybersecurity Assessments and Static Code Analysis of developed software to define remediation's and improve software quality. Collaborate with Developers, Program Managers, Testers, and Production Support Engineers to implement innovative technical solutions via iterative approach reducing time to delivery Requirements You'll Bring These Qualifications US Citizenship Required to obtain Public Trust DHS CBP Public Trust Preferred Bachelor's degree 7 years of experience; 3-5 years of experience in Agile/ Scrum development 7 years experience related to the role, especially with hands-on experience with the Maximo Asset Management platform Experience in Object oriented design and development (OODD), Domain Driven Design (DDD), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Micro-Services and client/server architecture Experience with Maximo design, setup and administration, including: Administration Module, Security Module, Configuration Module, Financial Module, Application Designer, Workflow, Maximo Integration Framework, Maximo Business Object Structure, Escalations and Cron Tasks, Automation Scripting, Customizing Maximo Business Objects by extending Java classes, BIRT Reporting Experience configuring and implementing Maximo High Availability at all levels of the Maximo Infrastructure (Database, Application and WebSphere) Experience with Oracle Exadata Architecture Extensive SQL Experience, preferably using Oracle Experience in systems development, systems integration, application design with the ability to work with the team of Business Analysts and UI/UX developers on designing, envisioning, and transforming mockups into fully functional user interfaces using Angular or other JavaScript UI frameworks. Designing APIs and microservices using Spring Boot that integrate with the UI. Experience with a variety of technologies with emphasis on Java; Spring Boot, Spring framework, Hibernate, JPA (or other ORM), JAX-RS, JavaScript, XML, JSON, Web-Services (JAX-WS or JAX-RS), Eclipse, maven, Junit, and shell scripting. Experience with database design, SQL or PL/SQL Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL Server. Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, CloudBees, or Bamboo. Experience with containerization platforms such as Docker and Orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. Experience with Configuration Management and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as, CloudFormation, Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Puppet Experience in the agile management framework Good ability to anticipate issues and formulate remedial actions Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills Collaborate with Developers, Program Managers, Testers, and Production Support Engineers to implement innovative technical solutions via iterative approach reducing time to delivery Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, CloudBees, or Bamboo Experience in systems development, systems integration, application design and/or legacy Must have experience in Angular, Java, Micro-Services & client/server architecture.
