Job Description In this contingent role with a leading financial services organization, the Information Security Engineer will be part of the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) team, where they will consult on and contribute to complex Information Security Engineering initiatives. This role will involve large-scale planning, reviewing and analyzing moderately complex security challenges, and resolving security engineering issues. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with internal personnel and clients to meet Information Security Engineering goals while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations. Key Responsibilities Participate in large-scale security initiatives, contributing technical expertise to support Information Security Engineering deliverables. Review, analyze, and address complex security challenges, considering a range of variable factors. Collaborate with internal and client personnel to resolve security issues and develop secure, compliant solutions. Write clear, concise Jira stories and gather necessary information to effectively address security challenges. Required Qualifications 4 years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education. Technical Expertise Identity Access Management (IAM) : Expertise with Entra ID (MFA, Conditional Access, Sync, Application Management), Active Directory, and 3rd-party tools (e.g., CyberArk, Okta). Azure Management : Extensive knowledge of Azure resources (Resource Groups, Subscriptions, IaaS, PaaS, Networking) with a focus on management, permissions, and identity. Automation Skills : Proficiency in automating cloud technologies using PowerShell, Terraform, ARM Templates, and Microsoft Graph API. Code Development : Ability to write and read Terraform code, build from scratch in PowerShell, and manage code repositories like GitHub. Drift Management : Experience creating and managing a drift management tool. Adaptability : Proven ability to learn new programming languages and skills to fulfill job requirements. Additional Skills Analytical Skills : Strong Business Analyst capabilities (reporting, pivot tables) to interpret and present data effectively. Documentation : Ability to produce well-written, comprehensive documentation. Project Management : Self-starter with experience in agile development, managing outages, and leading project-based work.
